# MUBI vs FILU

MUBI and FILU both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of FILU's written reviews are positive against 59% of MUBI's. FILU also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 11). MUBI's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 3) and chart position (#168 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MUBI sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. FILU asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for MUBI against 4.7 for FILU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MUBI has 11K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 59% of MUBI's written reviews are positive against 100% of FILU's.

MUBI ships an update weekly, FILU every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
