# MUBI vs A2D2

The clearest difference is rating: MUBI at 4.7 against A2D2's 3.0. MUBI also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 2). A2D2's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and in-app purchases (none vs 11). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MUBI sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. A2D2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

MUBI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MUBI has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of MUBI's written reviews are positive against 100% of A2D2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MUBI ships an update weekly, A2D2 every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
