# Tillypad POS vs PosKing

The clearest difference is rating: Tillypad POS at 5.0 against PosKing's 3.1. Tillypad POS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). PosKing's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PosKing sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Tillypad POS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tillypad POS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PosKing has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Tillypad POS's written reviews are positive against 56% of PosKing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tillypad POS ships an update every 7 months, PosKing monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
