# HorizonWebRef.com vs Sparx Hockey

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sparx Hockey at 71% against HorizonWebRef.com's 21%. HorizonWebRef.com's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 19) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HorizonWebRef.com holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HorizonWebRef.com has 1.6K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of HorizonWebRef.com's written reviews are positive against 71% of Sparx Hockey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HorizonWebRef.com ships an update every 2 weeks, Sparx Hockey fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
