# PrintMe vs PaperCut Hive

The clearest difference is rating: PaperCut Hive at 4.0 against PrintMe's 1.7. PaperCut Hive also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 7 months). PrintMe's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 12%) and ratings volume (12 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PaperCut Hive holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 1.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of PrintMe's written reviews are positive against 12% of PaperCut Hive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PrintMe ships an update every 7 months, PaperCut Hive every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
