# Backblaze vs Acronis Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Acronis Mobile at 4.2 against Backblaze's 2.8. Acronis Mobile also leads on ratings volume (829 vs 27). Backblaze's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Acronis Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Acronis Mobile has 829 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Backblaze's written reviews are positive against 33% of Acronis Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
