# OTV vs Dash News

The clearest difference is rating: Dash News at 5.0 against OTV's 3.7. Dash News also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.2 vs 15.1). OTV's advantage is ratings volume (88 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dash News holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OTV has 88 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OTV ships an update every 2 months, Dash News every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
