# Writing Wizard vs Metamorphabet

The clearest difference is price: Metamorphabet at $5.99 against Writing Wizard's $13.99. Metamorphabet also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and chart position (#59 vs unranked). Writing Wizard's advantage is ratings volume (3.3K vs 318). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Writing Wizard costs $13.99 and Metamorphabet $5.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Metamorphabet holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writing Wizard has 3.3K ratings behind it against 318, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Writing Wizard's written reviews are positive against 83% of Metamorphabet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Writing Wizard ships an update every 4 months, Metamorphabet every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
