# Writing Wizard vs Wonster Words (Pro Edition)

The clearest difference is price: Writing Wizard at $13.99 against Wonster Words (Pro Edition)'s $99.99. Writing Wizard also leads on ratings volume (3.3K vs 239). Wonster Words (Pro Edition)'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Writing Wizard costs $13.99 and Wonster Words (Pro Edition) $99.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wonster Words (Pro Edition) holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Writing Wizard has 3.3K ratings behind it against 239, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Writing Wizard's written reviews are positive against 86% of Wonster Words (Pro Edition)'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Writing Wizard ships an update every 4 months, Wonster Words (Pro Edition) every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
