# TrackAddict vs Chicane

The clearest difference is rating: Chicane at 5.0 against TrackAddict's 4.5. Chicane also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). TrackAddict's advantage is ratings volume (512 vs 5) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrackAddict sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Chicane asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chicane holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TrackAddict has 512 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TrackAddict ships an update every 2 months, Chicane fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
