# VOA vs Sheger FM 102.1

The clearest difference is ads: VOA at none against Sheger FM 102.1's shown. VOA also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and chart position (#156 vs unranked). Sheger FM 102.1's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (7.3K vs 731). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sheger FM 102.1 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sheger FM 102.1 has 7.3K ratings behind it against 731, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of VOA's written reviews are positive against 74% of Sheger FM 102.1's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
