# DigitalOcean Manager vs Enclave

The clearest difference is rating: Enclave at 4.7 against DigitalOcean Manager's 3.4. Enclave also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 45%) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 5). DigitalOcean Manager's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DigitalOcean Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Enclave sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Enclave holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Enclave has 1.1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of DigitalOcean Manager's written reviews are positive against 79% of Enclave's.

DigitalOcean Manager ships an update every 2 months, Enclave fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
