# PDF Export vs PDF Scanner, PDF Editor App

PDF Export and PDF Scanner, PDF Editor App both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of PDF Scanner, PDF Editor App's written reviews are positive against 46% of PDF Export's. PDF Export's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 23). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Export sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and PDF Scanner, PDF Editor App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Export holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Export has 1.8K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of PDF Export's written reviews are positive against 100% of PDF Scanner, PDF Editor App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
