# PDF Export vs PDF Editor

The clearest difference is ads: PDF Editor at none against PDF Export's shown. PDF Export's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 93). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Export sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and PDF Editor sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Export holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Export has 1.8K ratings behind it against 93, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of PDF Export's written reviews are positive against 33% of PDF Editor's.

PDF Export ships an update fortnightly, PDF Editor every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
