# PDF Export vs Aitho

The clearest difference is ads: Aitho at none against PDF Export's shown. Aitho also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). PDF Export's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Export sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Aitho sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aitho holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Export has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDF Export ships an update fortnightly, Aitho every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
