# Banjo Legend vs Bagpipe Sim

The clearest difference is ads: Banjo Legend at none against Bagpipe Sim's shown. Banjo Legend also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 50%) and ratings volume (165 vs 12). Bagpipe Sim's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 16 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Banjo Legend sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Bagpipe Sim sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bagpipe Sim holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Banjo Legend has 165 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Banjo Legend's written reviews are positive against 50% of Bagpipe Sim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Banjo Legend ships an update every 16 months, Bagpipe Sim every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
