# Moodle vs USAL App

The clearest difference is rating: USAL App at 4.9 against Moodle's 4.4. USAL App also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Moodle's advantage is review sentiment (46% vs 18%) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

USAL App holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moodle has 2.9K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Moodle's written reviews are positive against 18% of USAL App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Moodle ships an update every 4 months, USAL App monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
