# Moodle vs UMH app

The clearest difference is rating: UMH app at 4.9 against Moodle's 4.4. UMH app also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). Moodle's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 7) and review sentiment (46% vs 23%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UMH app holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moodle has 2.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Moodle's written reviews are positive against 23% of UMH app's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Moodle ships an update every 4 months, UMH app every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
