# Skiing Fred vs Nova Smash

The clearest difference is rating: Skiing Fred at 4.7 against Nova Smash's 4.0. Skiing Fred also leads on ratings volume (701 vs 4). Nova Smash's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skiing Fred sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Nova Smash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skiing Fred holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skiing Fred has 701 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Skiing Fred ships an update every 3 months, Nova Smash every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
