# SODMAP Mobile vs Hydrawise

The clearest difference is rating: Hydrawise at 4.7 against SODMAP Mobile's 4.0. Hydrawise also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (65K vs 3). SODMAP Mobile's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 39%) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hydrawise holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydrawise has 65K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of SODMAP Mobile's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hydrawise's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SODMAP Mobile ships an update every 4 months, Hydrawise every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
