# Diabelli's Theme vs Pyramid

The clearest difference is rating: Diabelli's Theme at 5.0 against Pyramid's 4.4. Diabelli's Theme also leads on ads (none vs shown). Pyramid's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (84% vs 50%). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diabelli's Theme sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Pyramid asks for nothing beyond the download.

Diabelli's Theme holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyramid has 297 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Diabelli's Theme's written reviews are positive against 84% of Pyramid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Diabelli's Theme ships an update every 12 months, Pyramid every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
