# Mosques Locator vs Mudflap

The clearest difference is rating: Mudflap at 4.8 against Mosques Locator's 4.0. Mudflap also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 9 months). Mosques Locator's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mosques Locator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mudflap asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mudflap holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mudflap has 4.6K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Mosques Locator's written reviews are positive against 78% of Mudflap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mosques Locator ships an update every 9 months, Mudflap every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
