# Lightning Fighter 2 vs WinWing

The clearest difference is ads: Lightning Fighter 2 at none against WinWing's shown. Lightning Fighter 2 also leads on review sentiment (64% vs 51%). WinWing's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (3.8K vs 535). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightning Fighter 2 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and WinWing sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WinWing holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WinWing has 3.8K ratings behind it against 535, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Lightning Fighter 2's written reviews are positive against 51% of WinWing's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lightning Fighter 2 ships an update every 2 months, WinWing monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
