# PDF Read vs 小阅

The clearest difference is rating: 小阅 at 4.8 against PDF Read's 2.6. 小阅 also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 63%) and ratings volume (173 vs 5). PDF Read's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Read sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 小阅 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

小阅 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 小阅 has 173 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of PDF Read's written reviews are positive against 93% of 小阅's.

PDF Read ships an update every 6 weeks, 小阅 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
