# BrainBreak vs MentalUP

The clearest difference is price: MentalUP at Free against BrainBreak's $2.99. MentalUP also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (38K vs 2). BrainBreak's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 24) and review sentiment (92% vs 71%). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

MentalUP is free to download; BrainBreak costs $2.99 up front. MentalUP sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. BrainBreak asks for nothing beyond the download.

MentalUP holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MentalUP has 38K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of BrainBreak's written reviews are positive against 71% of MentalUP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
