# FM957 vs Overtune

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FM957 at none against Overtune's 4. FM957 also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%). Overtune's advantage is ratings volume (279 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Overtune sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $11.90 per month. FM957 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Overtune holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Overtune has 279 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FM957's written reviews are positive against 67% of Overtune's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FM957 ships an update every 2 months, Overtune fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
