# Cantonese by Nemo vs LU Mobile

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cantonese by Nemo at 89% against LU Mobile's 40%. Cantonese by Nemo also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 1). LU Mobile's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cantonese by Nemo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. LU Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

LU Mobile holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cantonese by Nemo has 1.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of Cantonese by Nemo's written reviews are positive against 40% of LU Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cantonese by Nemo ships an update every 2 months, LU Mobile every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
