# Memrise vs Beelinguapp

The clearest difference is ads: Beelinguapp at none against Memrise's shown. Memrise's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (68% vs 40%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Beelinguapp sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $6.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memrise holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 217K ratings behind it against 2.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Memrise's written reviews are positive against 40% of Beelinguapp's.

Memrise ships an update fortnightly, Beelinguapp every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
