# Memrise vs 2DUB

The clearest difference is rating: Memrise at 4.8 against 2DUB's 4.1. Memrise also leads on ratings volume (218K vs 13) and chart position (#173 vs unranked). 2DUB's advantage is review sentiment (77% vs 68%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and 2DUB sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memrise holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 218K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Memrise's written reviews are positive against 77% of 2DUB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Memrise ships an update fortnightly, 2DUB every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
