# Memrise vs LangAI

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Memrise at 218K against LangAI's 121. Memrise also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and review sentiment (68% vs 51%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and LangAI sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Memrise holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 218K ratings behind it against 121, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Memrise's written reviews are positive against 51% of LangAI's.

Memrise ships an update fortnightly, LangAI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
