# Memrise vs Norsk Hub

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Norsk Hub at none against Memrise's 16. Norsk Hub also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 68%). Memrise's advantage is ratings volume (218K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Norsk Hub asks for nothing beyond the download.

Norsk Hub holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 218K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Memrise's written reviews are positive against 100% of Norsk Hub's.

Memrise ships an update fortnightly, Norsk Hub every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
