# Memrise vs Pishee

Memrise and Pishee both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Pishee's written reviews are positive against 68% of Memrise's. Memrise's advantage is ratings volume (218K vs 9) and chart position (#204 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Pishee sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Memrise against 4.8 for Pishee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 218K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Memrise's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pishee's.

Memrise ships an update fortnightly, Pishee every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
