# Memrise vs TANGO TRAINING

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Memrise at 218K against TANGO TRAINING's 2. Memrise also leads on chart position (#196 vs unranked). TANGO TRAINING's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memrise sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and TANGO TRAINING sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $18.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TANGO TRAINING holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memrise has 218K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
