# RECS vs Spol

The clearest difference is rating: Spol at 5.0 against RECS's 3.0. Spol also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). RECS's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RECS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Spol sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spol holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RECS has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RECS ships an update every 2 months, Spol every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
