# RECS vs Cam2000

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Cam2000 at 100% against RECS's 56%. Cam2000 also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). RECS's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RECS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cam2000 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RECS ships an update every 2 months, Cam2000 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
