# mScorecard vs Simple Handicap

The clearest difference is ads: mScorecard at none against Simple Handicap's shown. mScorecard also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. mScorecard sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Simple Handicap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

mScorecard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 441 and 383 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of mScorecard's written reviews are positive against 82% of Simple Handicap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
