# DecaMaps vs AureumCam

The clearest difference is ads: DecaMaps at none against AureumCam's shown. DecaMaps also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.6). AureumCam's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DecaMaps sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and AureumCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DecaMaps ships an update every 2 months, AureumCam every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
