# Bedtime Math vs Monster Math 2

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bedtime Math at none against Monster Math 2's 5. Bedtime Math also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 63%). Monster Math 2's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (6.5K vs 65). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Math 2 sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per year. Bedtime Math asks for nothing beyond the download.

Monster Math 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monster Math 2 has 6.5K ratings behind it against 65, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Bedtime Math's written reviews are positive against 63% of Monster Math 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bedtime Math ships an update every 4 months, Monster Math 2 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
