# FWRD vs Amsterdam Wine Co

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FWRD at 9.1K against Amsterdam Wine Co's 25. FWRD also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.7). Amsterdam Wine Co's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FWRD holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FWRD has 9.1K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of FWRD's written reviews are positive against 71% of Amsterdam Wine Co's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FWRD ships an update monthly, Amsterdam Wine Co every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
