# FWRD vs LN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FWRD at 70% against LN's 16%. FWRD also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (9.1K vs 459). LN's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FWRD holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FWRD has 9.1K ratings behind it against 459, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of FWRD's written reviews are positive against 16% of LN's.

FWRD ships an update monthly, LN every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
