# 181FM vs 100 Hitz The clearest difference is rating: 100 Hitz at 5.0 against 181FM's 3.4. 181FM's advantage is ratings volume (30 vs 4) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them. Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay. 100 Hitz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 181FM has 30 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 181FM's written reviews are positive against 60% of 100 Hitz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about. 181FM ships an update every 7 months, 100 Hitz every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 16, 2026 respectively. ## The numbers | Metric | 181FM | 100 Hitz | | --- | --- | --- | | Price | Free | Free | | Rating | [3.4 (30 ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/181fm/id638577161/reviews) | **[5.0 (4 ratings)](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/100-hitz/id735128799/reviews)** | | Number of ratings | **30** | 4 | | Positive reviews | **66.7% of reviews** | 60.0% of reviews | | In-app purchases | No | No | | Ads | No | No | | Update frequency | **Every 7 months** | Every 10 months | | Monetization | Free | Free | | Size | 8 MB | 26 MB | | Requires iOS | **9.0** | 15.6 | | Devices | iPhone, iPad, iPod | iPhone, iPad, iPod | | Age rating | 9+ | 17+ | | Developer | [Online Digital Ventures, LLC](https://appshunter.io/developer/638577164) | [Valerie Ellis](https://appshunter.io/developer/1150614077) | ## What reviewers say ### 181FM [App page](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/181fm/id638577161) Stream a wide variety of music genres from anywhere in the world.
