# Daily Graph Notes Diary vs Simple Spreadsheet

The clearest difference is rating: Simple Spreadsheet at 4.6 against Daily Graph Notes Diary's 3.9. Simple Spreadsheet also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 19 months). Daily Graph Notes Diary's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Spreadsheet sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Daily Graph Notes Diary asks for nothing beyond the download.

Simple Spreadsheet holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Spreadsheet has 6.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Daily Graph Notes Diary's written reviews are positive against 44% of Simple Spreadsheet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Daily Graph Notes Diary ships an update every 19 months, Simple Spreadsheet every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on August 16, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
