# Rendez vs MEGA

The clearest difference is rating: Rendez at 4.9 against MEGA's 4.5. Rendez also leads on ratings volume (867 vs 16). MEGA's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 34%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rendez holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rendez has 867 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Rendez's written reviews are positive against 61% of MEGA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rendez ships an update fortnightly, MEGA every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
