# TRENDnetVIEW vs UniCam

The clearest difference is rating: UniCam at 4.5 against TRENDnetVIEW's 2.9. TRENDnetVIEW's advantage is ratings volume (284 vs 50) and iOS requirement (5.1.1 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TRENDnetVIEW sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and UniCam sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UniCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TRENDnetVIEW has 284 ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of TRENDnetVIEW's written reviews are positive against 33% of UniCam's.

TRENDnetVIEW ships an update monthly, UniCam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
