# 9Cut vs PerfectCrop

The clearest difference is rating: PerfectCrop at 4.2 against 9Cut's 3.3. PerfectCrop also leads on ratings volume (198 vs 31). 9Cut's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (58% vs 39%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PerfectCrop sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. 9Cut asks for nothing beyond the download.

PerfectCrop holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PerfectCrop has 198 ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of 9Cut's written reviews are positive against 39% of PerfectCrop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

9Cut ships an update every 4 months, PerfectCrop every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
