# Racemap vs DotVision Motion

The clearest difference is rating: DotVision Motion at 4.6 against Racemap's 4.0. DotVision Motion also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (60 vs 6). Racemap's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 42%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DotVision Motion holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DotVision Motion has 60 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Racemap's written reviews are positive against 42% of DotVision Motion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Racemap ships an update every 6 weeks, DotVision Motion every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
