# Secure Notepad Pro vs Notepad

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Notepad at none against Secure Notepad Pro's 1. Notepad also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Secure Notepad Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.7K vs 30). On price, rating, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notepad Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Notepad asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Secure Notepad Pro against 4.9 for Notepad.
