# Secure Notepad Pro vs Notes Lock

The clearest difference is rating: Secure Notepad Pro at 4.8 against Notes Lock's 2.7. Secure Notepad Pro also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 6). Notes Lock's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 76%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Secure Notepad Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notes Lock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Secure Notepad Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secure Notepad Pro has 2.7K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Secure Notepad Pro's written reviews are positive against 87% of Notes Lock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Secure Notepad Pro ships an update every 5 months, Notes Lock every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
