# Talk Timer Clock vs Flip Timer & stopwatch

The clearest difference is ads: Talk Timer Clock at none against Flip Timer & stopwatch's shown. Talk Timer Clock also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Flip Timer & stopwatch's advantage is ratings volume (7.6K vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 9 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talk Timer Clock sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Flip Timer & stopwatch sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Talk Timer Clock holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Timer & stopwatch has 7.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Talk Timer Clock's written reviews are positive against 69% of Flip Timer & stopwatch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Talk Timer Clock ships an update every 9 months, Flip Timer & stopwatch every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
