# MiPromo vs Handshake

The clearest difference is rating: Handshake at 4.5 against MiPromo's 4.0. Handshake also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (196 vs 25). MiPromo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Handshake sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. MiPromo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Handshake holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Handshake has 196 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 37% and 37% positive.

MiPromo ships an update every 2 months, Handshake fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
